Repairs

Could you ask the landlord to replace a light bulb or a battery in my lodgement?

The replacement of light bulbs and batteries are the responsibility of the tenant. If you have difficulty finding the good one, we can get someone to replace it for you and you will be invoiced directly.

What do I do if something breaks in the accommodation?

If something large breaks during your tenancy, let us know immediately, with, if possible, photos. We will then contact the owner to arrange for its repair or replacement. If it is found that the breakage due to negligence, you will be asked to pay all or part of the charges.

What repairs do the tenant have to pay for?

If small items of crockery, cutlery or utensils are broken or lost, it is your responsibility to replace them. Also, you must replace any lightbulbs that blow during your stay, and the battery of the smoke detector.

If any items are broken due to deglect, you are also responsible for the repair or replacement.

How do I know if the battery of the smoke detector needs to be changed?

When the battery is low, the smoke detector will make a regular beep. If you have difficulty finding a particular battery, we can get someone to replace it for you and you will be invoiced directly.
