Is the Housing Insurance mandatory?

Yes it is by law. Without the housing insurance attestation, we will not be allowed to give you the keys.
I will get my own housing insurance once I get to France, is that ok for you?
You can get your own house insurance, but we need to have the attestation of insurance by the time or before the day you arrive, in order to let you come in the lodgment.
Can I enter the lodgement without the housing insurance?
No. If you do not have an attestation from your Insurance Company on the day you arrive, we cannot hand over the keys until this document is produced. This is under French Law.
